Who we are

Mission and Values

Our mission is:
Building creative communities to love our neighbours and neighbourhoods.

To do this we are guided by several values:

Kingdom Rules: We choose to pattern our lives on the Kingdom of God as demonstrated by Jesus and the apostles in Scripture. To do this we follow a Rhythm (rule) of Life that leaves room for God to surprise us with new or deeper relationships, activities we weren’t expecting and His grace in abundance.

Lightweight and low maintenance: We are willing to change and adapt anything that doesn’t serve Jesus and His vision for us. We maintain an “on the move” attitude to following Jesus.

High accountability and low control: We challenge those things that detract from the vision and are permissive of those things that advance the vision. All the while we offer bucket loads of grace to fail, succeed and to forgive.

Presence: We choose to live with humility among those we serve in order to both demonstrate and proclaim the Good News of Jesus. We invite Jesus into the regular activities of life and see what happens – usually fantastic friendships, lots of meals eaten together and the breaking down of barriers to the love of God.

Theological reflection: We do – reflect – do – reflect –- always checking with Scripture. We write and tell the stories of God at work among us. Everyone is growing as a disciple and not expecting the leadership to provide what they can learn by being an active disciple.
